It contains Medroxyprogesterone Acetate, which is a female hormone (progestin). This medicine functions by replacing the natural progesterone hormone that your body is unable to produce. Thereby, it treats painful, absent/irregular menstrual periods and prevents overgrowth of the uterus lining in menopausal women taking oestrogen.
